Regional offices

The FMDV's activities are represented at regional level, in Asia, Africa and Latin America, by regional Offices. These Offices represent the FMDV to its partners and enable it to adapt its approach to the local context.

The Regional Offices organise technical workshops on specific urban development related issues and also offer training. Technical guides will be published by the FMDV and diffused among regional partners.

Several proposals of Regional offices were approved by the Board of Directors in Porto Alegre in Novembre 2011: FMDV Regional offices will be opened in 2012 in Rabat - Morocco , Mashhad - Iran and one office should be opened in Latin America.

A junior expert is currently assigned to the UCLG Middle East & West Asia (MEWA) Secretariat in order to provide support to FMDV's Turkish partners. http://uclg-mewa.org
