January 2012 - Technical assistance Antananarivo

As part of the improvement program for urban mobility developed by the municipality of Antananarivo with the support of the Ile-de-France Region, the FMDV conducted a technical assistance. The aim  of the support is to ensure that the rolling stock is replaced with new vehicles under the best possible conditions.

November 2011 - Urban funding in South America

FMDV is publishing a new document on urban funding in South America. Some of these elements have been presented during the workshop "the future or urban investment in South America" organized by FMDV and UCLG in Porto Alegre in november.

November 2011 - General assembly meeting

FMDV hold its first General assembly in Porto Alegre on november 25th during Metropolis Congress. With a majority of its members, the General assembly elected its Board of directors and decided the main orientation given to the organization for the coming year.

October 2011 - FMDV activity report 2011

For the preparation of the General assembly and Board of Directors, FMDV is publishing its first activity report since the constitutive assembly held in Barcelona in october 2010.

September 2011 -Appointment of the new Acting Secretary General of Metropolis

Metropolis President, Jean-Paul Huchon, appointed Alain Le Saux, actual FMDV Executive Director as Acting Secretary General of Metropolis.

July 2011 - Technical assistance in Nilüfer

 A FMDV delegation went to Nilüfer in Turkey with three technical experts of the Île-de-France regional tourisme comittee for tourism to support the municipality on the Grand Bazaar of Anatolia' project

June 2011 – UCLG Executive Comittee - Rabat
The 12th Executive Comittee of United cities and local governments (ULCG) met in Rabat and elected the new UCLG General Secretary, M. Josep Roig

June 2011 - UCLG urban planification, Durban
The UCLG commission on urban strategic planing organised an international learning on strategic urban planing in Durban intitulated "fostering learning of the global south".

March 2011 – FMDV Regional strategic meeting, Mashhad 
With the support of Mashhad municipality and UCLG MEWA (Middle East and West Asia), FMDV organised a regional strategic meeting.

March 2011 – Urban planning in Dakar
The FMDV has organized a technical assistance mission addressed to the city of Dakar for the project DKL submitted to FMDV support.
